Le iscrizioni alla Micron International Academy sono aperte fino al 3 gennaio 2025.
25 studenti laureati o iscritti a un corso di laurea magistrale in specifici corsi tecnico-scientifici avranno l'opportunità di diventare esperti nella tecnologia dei sistemi digitali integrati all'avanguardia, con particolare attenzione ai sistemi di memoria avanzati, ed essere pronti a lavorare in tutto il mondo.
La partecipazione è gratuita. Due posti sono riservati a studenti con disabilità. Ogni studente che avrà completato con successo l'Academy riceverà un attestato di partecipazione al programma di formazione e una borsa di studio di 2.000 euro.
Per gli studenti di laurea magistrale, la partecipazione all'Accademia costituirà titolo preferenziale per l'accesso a posizioni di tirocinio curriculare o extracurriculare disponibili presso le sedi italiane di Micron (Arzano, Avezzano e Vimercate).
Al termine del corso dell'Academy, due partecipanti potranno essere selezionati per trascorrere due settimane presso una delle sedi Micron nel mondo, per approfondire argomenti legati allo sviluppo di memorie avanzate.
Micron International Academy brings together the university of Naples Federico II and Micron with the objective of training new highly professional figures with a global perspective in the field of development and verification of embedded memory system. After the success of the pilot, held in Mar-Jul 2024, the call for the second edition has been recently published and applications will be open until January 3, 2025. The program will have a 6-months duration from January to June 2025 and is encompassing lectures, practical exercises, group work, project work, and seminars with a focus on hands-on, project-based, and laboratory activities.
Located on a campus also home to several other academies, MIA, developed by Micron in partnership with Federico II University in Naples, is the first academy of its kind that offers a specialized training program in the development and verification of embedded memory systems. Academic lessons by university professors are combined with industry-relevant content instructed by Micron technical experts. The program is designed to create specialized talent pipelines ready to work at Micron sites worldwide, addressing the industry's need for highly skilled professionals through a training program focused on hands-on approach and implementation of project works.
The goal of the Micron International Academy is to train students to become experts in cutting-edge integrated digital systems Technology, with a particular focus on advanced memory systems, and to be ready for working all around the world. MIA also gives students networking opportunities. Students interact with multiple stakeholders and partners, enhancing their professional connections and opportunities for future collaboration. This provides students with industry exposure and training opportunities, including internships and PhD programs.
MIA is also part of Micron's efforts to strengthen, evolve, and grow DEI/URG talent pipelines, demonstrating a commitment to creating an inclusive environment. Two places in MIA are reserved for students with disabilities.
Participation in the Academy is free of charge. Each student who has successfully completed the Academy will receive a certificate of participation in the training program and at €2,000 scholarship.
For master's degree students, participation in the Academy will constitute a preferential title for access to curricular or extracurricular internship positions available at Micron's Italian offices (Arzano, Avezzano and Vimercate). At the end of the Academy course, two participants may be selected to spend two weeks at one of Micron sites, to further explore topics related to the development of advanced memories.
The Academy is reserved to 25 students (EU and non-EU members) graduated or enrolled in a Master degree in specific techno-scientific classes, who will be selected based on qualifications, oral exam and motivation.
