The project "A kind of look: to know in order to recognize ourselves", promoted by Centro di Ateneo SinAPSi in its effort to promote and enhance the culture of inclusion, aims to stimulate the re-appropriation of own life history and recognize it to strengthen the identity, placing it in the time of experience, in relationship with others and with the world. To propose the review of models of culture (family, social and personal) that form the self-image, to locate or relocate oneself and bring out the differences or similarities of position of own emotional, cognitive and relationship experiences. Reviewing own world, needs and desires in the view of the unity of the person. Give form , substance and volume to the stories of each one, to authenticate their identities and give meaning to the experiences.
Have been identified seven main themes on which each participant must bring his personal view, referring to facts, experiences and memories of his own life. Each topic will be introduced, both at the meetings when there and in the units on-line, from led stimulus-activity, and then leave space to the narrative. The written narrative will be evaluated by the authors themselves by assigning symbols which also represent the emotional capacity (for example a closed eye on the still dark realities, unclear, or lived with discomfort; one eye half open for stories yet to discover or on which is not clear subjective evaluation and an open eye on what is lived rather peacefully). Within the units on-line, each participant will be free to intervene with questions, also on someone else's post, to clarify, elaborate or specify and give way to bring forward the narrative, of course in full compliance with the will of the people in answering. We will take special care to protect the privacy of participants and everyone is free to choose how much explore and talk about himself deeply. The use of the web platform guarantees and allows more privacy to the subjects involved and more free possibilities of expression compared to a face to face, which will be used as a launch and presentation of the theme and, if desired by everyone, as a moment of sharing and comparison among the participants.
The project requires the creation of a group of about 12 male and female homosexual university students (to be managed in two small groups of 6 participants each), declared and undeclared; with the opportunity to create a network with the project www.bullismoomofobico.it by Centro Sinapsi.
The project will have an actual duration of six months (will start in October 2010 and will end in April 2011), to dedicate a month to each theme and will be preceded by a period of study and deepening the topic to propose and a month of formation of the group.
The face to face meetings will be a total of eight, seven dedicated to the presentation of various themes through the virtual platform and a closing one for verification. Expected to have duration, assessed during the work, of 90 minutes each.
