University of Salento - Department of History, Society and Human Science

The Department of History, Society and Human Science of University of Salento (Lecce, Italy)  promotes activities of research aimed at analyzing and understanding the history,the social phenomena, the individual and collective behaviours, and the impactof the individual-environment relationship in the today society.
The psychological area is concerned with the development of models of knowledge, methodologies and instruments for analyzing the processes which mediate the relationship between subjectivity and intersubjectivity, able to orient an intervention aimed to the improvement of organizational and social systems (in educational, health, community fields ... ). The main interest of this area focuses on the analysis of the role of the socio-symbolic processes on educational success and the elaboration of politics of intervention aimed at regulating and developing educational settings.

 

Asociacion Interuniversitaria De Investigación Pedagógica (AIDIPE-SERA)


 The Spanish Association of Educational Research (SERA-AIDIPE) has been active since the end of the last 70´s both at a national and international level, with the aim of promoting quality in all areas of Education, as well as social compromise through educational research. SERA-AIDIPE has built connections with other educational research associations, especially in Europe, Latin-America and North-America. In this regard, SERA-AIDIPE is a founder member of the European Educational Research Association (EERA). At present, SERA-AIDIPE members are about 400 researchers from all over Spain. SERA-AIDIPE also organizes biennial Educational Research Conferences on upstanding social and educational topics. So far, SERA-AIDIPE has organized 15 biennial conferences in different Spanish universities, with the participation of international researchers, coming mainly from European, Latinamerican and Middle-East countries. As an association which looks for quality and innovation in education, higher education and educational research, SERA-AIDIPE also organizes biennial Academic Seminars for educational researchers and scholars from Spanish universities, in order to promote discussion about current educational and social issues of interest both at a national and international level. In this regard, SERA-AIDIPE acts as frequent speaker and consultant for national and regional Spanish Educational Quality Agencies and boards, especially for those involved in Quality Evaluation in Higher Education.

 

Institutul de Stiinte ale Educatiei (ISE)


 Institutul de Stiinte ale Educatiei (ISE - The Institute of Educational Sciences, IES) is a public organisation, founded in 1990. The Institute of Educational Sciences is a public research institute financed by the Ministry of Education, Research, and Youth at the level of basic funding, while research contracts with national and international donors covers an important part of its expenditures. The IES has 40 professionals and 20 support staff, around a half of the research staff holding a PhD. title. As a national institute for research and development in education, IES aims to put forth the educational policies and decisions by the scientific studies and data, to analyse needs and existing challenges in the Romanian educational system.
Many members of the research staff are also textbook authors for pre-university level. Some researchers are also members of the academic staff involved in the initial teacher training for History, Languages, Sciences and Educational Sciences and at the tertiary level (graduate and MA courses for the Depts. For Initial Teacher Training). As a result, the IES is able to provide the project with the full array of expertise, starting from the initial teacher training to issues of curriculum development and implementation, from the analysis of classroom experiences to perceptions of stakeholders on the educational process and its outcomes. IES offer support and expertise for practical activities of students from Educational Sciences and Political Sciences faculties.
IES has also a strong programme and project evaluation expertise, being involved in the State of Education Report, LLL Programme in Romania evaluation and conducting impact assessment studies (i.e. Rural Education Project).

 The Dublin Region Higher Education Alliance (DRHEA) is a strategic alliance of the Higher Education sector in the wider Dublin city-region.
